A conversation with Jesus

~What is God really like?

He who has seen me has seen the father. “- Jesus

~What about recorded stories that contradict that?

If you knew Me, you would know My Father as well.”- Jesus

~So the only way to see what God is really like is to look at you, Jesus?

“Whoever sees Me sees the One who sent Me.”- Jesus

~ It’s just so hard when I read some passages in the Old Testament though. Alot of times God looks so different from you. What do I do with all those passages that conflict with the character we see you show us in the gospels?

“Then beginning with Moses and throughout all the Old Testament scriptures, He went on explaining and interpreting to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning and referring to Himself… Then He thoroughly opened up their minds to understand the Scriptures”- Luke24: 27&45

~To know what God is like is to look at Jesus. He is the only lens that we can interpret what God is really like. This is the most biblical way to look at God. Any other way is denying what scriptures themselves reveal.

Colossians 1:15
The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

Hebrews 1:3
The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His nature, upholding all things by His powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.

1 John 5:20
And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true–in His Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life
